This seven page paper lists 40 different references throughout the bible concerning the biblical uses of the Jewish trumpets, both the Ram's horn shofar (and also the horns of the African antelope called the Kudu, being commonly used today as a larger shofar), and also the priest's Silver Trumpets of Numbers 10:1-10, pronounced in Hebrew something like Ha-zo-za-rot.
